During the last few months, I’ve had the wonderful experience of explaining my concepts of PREVENTION.
I’ve written about tires and oils and all types of fluids. I’ve tried to explain how every system in most vehicles depends upon so many others, in order to work to their fullest capabilities.
This article which is featured in an Automotive Supplement, is tied closely to forms and modes of transportation, from the early 1930’s to 2013. There are times that I have referred to systems that can fail and put you into “SNEAKER MODE”. That is when your car stops and if you need to get somewhere then it’s up to you and your sneakers to get you where you are going.
Today’s article should have been named “SNEAKER MODE”, but then that would have been a big give away.
“SNEAKER MODE” is a true form of transportation, it uses the laws of physics to move a body from one point to another. It breaks the law of inertia that takes a body from rest to a body in motion and will remain in motion until a force that is equal and opposite is applied or the functioning mechanical aspects of that body just breaks.
Today I am taking a big chance because I am using a medium to let the whole readership learn a little more about me than many will ever have the chance to know.
Dr. Keith Rubin and I, as will countless others, will don our SNEAKERS, and become those bodies in motion in the name of PREVENTION AND A CURE FOR CANCER.
On Saturday at 3:00pm a thousand people will step onto the Charlotte High School track and walk until 9:30am Sunday morning. Of course not all of us will be on the track at the same time, but there will always be someone or two on the track during every second of those 18 hours, because Cancer never sleeps.
My thought at this point is very selfish, having been a caretaker, a child, a sibling, a cousin, and a nephew or a friend to someone who has had Cancer. I try to raise funds all year and read about PREVENTION of this disease and dream of its eradication.
If you have never experienced a Relay, please come. If you have never donated to Relay if you can find some loose change we’ll take it. If it folds, it’s ecstatic.
Come visit our team, on the infield. Talk to all the others that are there doing as much as they can, if all you can bring is your thoughts, prayers and support, most times that’s the greatest gift.
Or go to RELAY FOR LIFE.ORG, look for the Punta Gorda Relay, pick a team and charge it on your credit or debit card. It’s all about killing the BEAST!!!!!
Thank you for this chance to let me out of the box.
God Bless and God Speed to all of you that care.
